[SRA] - Picacho Campgrounds April 24-26, 2009

Ok peoples and outdoor nuts,

Here is a start WWWWWH’s of the trip

Simplified:
1)
Meet at my house 2PM-ish (subject to change depending on availability )
2) 8 East for 2 ½ hours
3) Left turn in Winterhaven
4) (mild zigzags)
5) Then straight down dirt road for 18 miles to site

WHEN?

Group Rendezvous in North Park

Depart between 2:30PM-3:00PM
Pit-Stop in El Centro? – 5:00PM Gas/Food/Ice/Puppy Stretch?
Arrive at Picacho 6:45PM-7:45PM

- Grabbing adjacent spots? (Adrian and I have one in mind)
- Grabbing Group Site? (might be the easiest)

WHY?

Because it is there?
Because we can?
Because we need to?
Because I said so?
Because you agreed?
Because its fun?
Etc.

How?

Vehicle availability will be determined soon.

Potential Vehicles:
Nick’s Truck – Best for Gear
Adrian’s Jeep – 4WD Available
Dad’s Urban Assault SUV – Best 4WD Luxury
Allies SUV – Optional

Food Suggestion:
Thursday – Allie goes shopping
Friday – We get Ice and hit the road
Friday – Everyone brings $40-$60 for camping expenses

Trip Total Costs (Estimate)
$10-15 Campsite per night
$40 Gas (1 Tank per Vehicle - divided by passengers)
$30-40 Food (Per Person Max)
[Can be adjusted upon request – Not planning on serving Filet Mignon, but Allie likes to cook and we all like to eat.)

If you need gear, have gear, want gear, Please let me know by Tues/Wed or you will be responsible for bringing your own personal stuff.

Tent
Sleeping bag
Personal’s (Hygiene)
Personal’s (Eating Utilites)
First Aid
Bug Spray (Mosquitoes have not yet arrived according to ranger)
Water Bottle (Should be filled before departing)
Chair / Backpack

Good sense of humor
Money for food or personal food stash
Money for campsite
